Education

After graduating from The Brook Hill School in Bullard, Mr. Dickey attended Georgetown University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Government and Theology. He subsequently obtained his Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University School of Law. While at Texas A&M.

Experience

He is a litigation-focused attorney with a strong foundation in personal injury law that strengthens his broader trial practice. Prior to joining Hammond Law Firm PLLC, he practiced at Roberts & Roberts, where he gained substantial experience handling personal injury cases. His professional background also includes service as Chief of Staff to Texas State Senator Brian Birdwell, Chairman of the Texas Senate Committee on Natural Resources & Economic Development. In addition, he developed significant policy and legislative expertise while serving in the offices of three Texas state senators across four legislative sessions, from the 84th through the 87th, advising lawmakers on statutory changes and matters of constitutional jurisprudence.

Spare Time

A lifelong resident of Smith County, he was born in Tyler and raised in Arp, grounding him in the values and traditions of East Texas. He now calls Tyler home, where he lives with his wife, Mary, and their three children.
